What is it used for?
Turbo Manifold Generator is a tool for building your own turbo manifold online.
The idea is that you recreate the flange components of your engine bay the way you want them. Along the way you can build a turbo collector of your chosen design, place constraint surfaces that stand in for the various components in the engine bay, and much more — all of which makes the end result tailored to exactly your build.
In the tool you can pick from a range of pipe options, and those steer the direction the generation takes. The dimensions of the selected bends drive the tool's generative process, so the results match the pipe components you buy exactly.
Once every decision is made and the whole thing looks right to your eye, you can generate your manifold. After generating you can preview your result and its dimensions, and once you've paid you get a file package with everything you need to build it. It includes, for example:
-A PDF report with cut instructions you can work from directly, in practice the manifold can be built with a hacksaw. You cut the pieces loose, transfer the features from the paper onto the pipe components and let it rip. The report also carries the exact runner lengths and the rest of the numbers.
-3D models in STEP format. The package contains every 3D model created while designing the manifold; use them for dimensioning and whatever else you need.
-Runner paths in DXF format that you can use in your own 3D modeling.
-A BOM listing every pipe component the manifold requires.
-For an additional fee the package can include trays for the primary pipes, ready to be 3D printed. The trays let you assemble the pipes straight in the fixture, which speeds up the build and makes it far more repeatable.
